Truth

Truth

One of my favorite childhood stories was Pinocchio, the toy made by loving hands of Geppetto who created the puppet.  Pinocchio like the prodigal son goes through a series of experiences that hurt and disappoint his Father.  One of the scenes in the Disney movie that stands out is when Pinocchio lies and his nose grows with each lie.  His lies are so extensive that it grows as long as a tree branch.  It is only when Pinocchio starts to speak the truth, that the natural size of his nose is restored.

How many of us are like this character?  It is time NOW to be truthful with ourselves.  If we want our lives to be harmonious, we must seek within our self to discover the truth.

1.  What is my life story?

2. Do I want to continue to live my life this way?

3. How do I believe my own lies and mistruths?

4. How can I heal my misperceptions?

5. Am I still blaming others for my own unhappiness?

6. What is the mirror reflecting back at me that I don’t want to see?

When we take time to self reflect, we can shift old patterns that we have become addicted to.  We must accept the responsibility for creating our own reality .  The moment we live in the now in total truth, we shift our consciousness to new heights……the truth shall set you free!

Expectations…are they good or bad?

Expectations…are they good or bad?

It’s healthy to have dreams, goals and desires in life. The real trick is to accept the outcome realizing that there is good in everything. It’s truly a balancing act!

How many of us live life without any expectations?  I know that I don’t.  As a human being I have a perspective of how things SHOULD be or how people SHOULD behave.  So with all these great expectations what usually follows is disappointment.  Then our story within ourselves starts to take a life of its own and our disappointment starts to fester like a sore filling up with pus of anger, hurt and resentment.  “You did this to me after I been so good to you.”  Then you become a victim and start defending yourself against the world. The inner turmoil and conflict grows. Sound familiar?

If you really want to develop and grow spiritually this lesson could be number one on your bucket list.  A daily practice of letting go of any expectations of how your day or life needs to be or look like could be tremendously freeing and transformative.  Stop making your life WRONG.  Be patient with yourself as you cultivate this new way of thinking and feeling.  It’s like a new muscle that needs time, practice and patience to become really strong.  But like a strong, fit physique brings good health, working on your inner mind will bring peace, tranquility and harmony.

Set yourself free! Oops…is that another expectation?

Face your fears head on….

Face your fears head on….

As we walk through our life journey, most of us are filled with anxiety and stress; ourthoughts are loaded with fear.We mask our pain by pretending to be positive when underneath the facade is intense emotional pain. Inside of most of us is a small child who developed misperceptions and distortions about life based on fear.

You must face your fears head on and with an open heart, if you want to be truly empowered. It is an easier process if you face fears consciously, rather than have your unconscious mind create a difficult situation for you to experience suppressed emotions. Here are some suggestions.

  1. Take total responsibility for your healing transformation.
  2. Sit in a meditative state and then bring in something you fear the most. Create a negative fantasy of this fear and then resolve it.
  3. Be an observer of yourself….when you find yourself experiencing emotional pain, find the truth inside of you that you have been resisting. Dig it out to the open.
  4. Take a look at your own dark side honestly without judgment. We are all both darkness and light and pretending that darkness is outside of you will only bring in unwanted problems because of these suppressed feelings.
  5. Teach yourself how to live life without fear.

Release your fears today!Confront them and you will start to experience a freedom, peace and joy that you never thought was possible. Make your healing process the number one priority in your life. As you heal, this passes on to family and friends and ultimately the whole planet.

It’s time to heal!

It’s time to heal!

Laurence Duvall said: “Human beings are the expressions of their landscape.” All of us could start making different choices to heal ourselves, as well as the earth.

I participated in a ceremony on October 27th with over sixty Mexican people at Teotihuacán, honoring the earth, sun, moon, planets and all of the cosmos. This is one of the most impressive sacred sites in Mexico and it is 40 kilometers from Mexico City. The first part of the ceremony took place in caves located below the pyramid of the Sun. Shamans call these caves entrances to the underworld. As we all gathered in the darkness of the caves, many were costumed in ancient Aztec and Mayan garb as they drummed, rattled and chanted. It was a moving sight to witness the Mexicans reclaiming their ancient ways. We emerged from the dark cave to the middle world of light where we stepped into a medicine wheel to connect to the upper world. I felt blessed as an American woman to conduct this healing ceremony.

After an experience like this, you begin to view the world differently and truly see yourself as part of creation. As our bodies have an anatomy and physiology, the planet does also. Our bodies can become sick and the earth does the same. As a contemporary pilgrim, I have visited many mystical sites and these places act as an activator to wake us up on all levels of consciousness. All these sites are connected to each other like points on a grid system. Simple, small steps will make a major contribution for the good of all. Stop littering. Recycle. Connect to nature. Honor all creatures. Honor your body. Respect all people no matter what your differences.

It’s a time to heal, a time to love & a time to remember who we really are!
