Expectations…are they good or bad?

Expectations…are they good or bad?

It’s healthy to have dreams, goals and desires in life. The real trick is to accept the outcome realizing that there is good in everything. It’s truly a balancing act!

How many of us live life without any expectations?  I know that I don’t.  As a human being I have a perspective of how things SHOULD be or how people SHOULD behave.  So with all these great expectations what usually follows is disappointment.  Then our story within ourselves starts to take a life of its own and our disappointment starts to fester like a sore filling up with pus of anger, hurt and resentment.  “You did this to me after I been so good to you.”  Then you become a victim and start defending yourself against the world. The inner turmoil and conflict grows. Sound familiar?

If you really want to develop and grow spiritually this lesson could be number one on your bucket list.  A daily practice of letting go of any expectations of how your day or life needs to be or look like could be tremendously freeing and transformative.  Stop making your life WRONG.  Be patient with yourself as you cultivate this new way of thinking and feeling.  It’s like a new muscle that needs time, practice and patience to become really strong.  But like a strong, fit physique brings good health, working on your inner mind will bring peace, tranquility and harmony.

Set yourself free! Oops…is that another expectation?

Crisis is an opportunity….for change

Crisis is an opportunity….for change

Crisis is an opportunity to readjust things in our life that we have been unwilling to change. Our egos obstruct change so the consciousness will create a crisis that will facilitate the change. It comes in different forms to all of us: such as illness, loss of job, divorce or a death of a loved one.The more painful the upheaval, the more it is showing you your own resistance to shift circumstances in your life.Change is an integral part of the universe. In order to grow spiritually, you need to set yourself free from your own negativity, destructiveness and build a life based on spiritual truths of harmony, love and beauty.

We can choose another way of growing……make a conscious decision to be in touch with our inner most feelings & desires, in order to facilitate changes without resistance. If you find yourself in a challenging situation, accept things as they are and stop lamenting that this shouldn’t be happening to you. Ask yourself these questions:

1.  Do you believe that you are capable of creating a wonderful life?

2.  Do you know that you can resolve all your problems?

3.  Do you trust that there are infinite possibilities for you?

If you want your life to be different, you have to be willing to address your resistance ‘head on’ and drive for lasting change.Be aware of why this is happening and focus on the positive outcome of the change! All those dark days and nights will turn into a “Light “switch. Flip it on!!!!

Looking for Love

Looking for Love

We have online dating services, social media, and other ways of connecting to a potential partner, but many people still feel lost and lonely. Why does one feel so alone in the world?People come to see me with a variety of personal issues that are troubling them and one is them is the search for their “BELOVED.”Some people are divorced and others remain single, longer than they ever expected.I often joke with them that the married ones wish that they were single again.  They are treading on the walk of FEAR & not the path of LOVE.  The human mind is filled with concepts, beliefs, and distortions about love.

Most of us think we are capable of loving, but because of past negative experiences, this capability is not firing on all cylinders.People’s ego, pride and fear that they could be rejected, locks the door to this possibility. Love me first and then I’ll see if I’ll love you back is the voice of fear within.  So how do we breakthrough this and attract genuine, healthy love?

  1. Never try to force yourself to love.
  2. Do a thorough self examination of yourself truthfully.
  3. Find where your vanity, ego and pride rule your relationships.
  4. Fall in love with yourself first and not in a narcissistic manner.
  5. Be willing to give love freely without any expectations.
  6. Connect inwardly and lovingly to the Divine and discover harmony within.
  7. Stop wallowing in self pity and extend yourself to love or help someone.
  8. Change your attitude towards your pain.
  9. Stop looking for love…love is found inside.
  10. Be willing to risk heart break!

Surrender all your false insecurities and fall truly in love.  Real love isn’t selfish.  Let go of the need to control and allow the natural feelings of love, kindness and generosity to generate a magical relationship.Love comes from a place deep in the heart….not your mind.  Trust your heart to know love and give love.  Your homework assignment is to take the take the next 10 days and work on a single item above from my recommendations for the entire day; be conscious of it throughout the day and write down your feelings in a journal.  You are on your way to attracting genuine, healthy love……….it’s that simple & you deserve it.

True love always creates happiness!!!!

Spring Cleaning….in more ways than one!

Today is the first day of spring and a very powerful day. On this special day, we can look into our own lives and clean out what is no longer necessary. The recent flooding is a good opportunity to throw things out that no longer serves us anymore; this includes both the material, as well as emotional debris that we carry within ourselves.  Make this a joyful celebration of “LETTING GO.”

As buds and seeds start to sprout, it’s an opportunity to start preparing the ground work for creating what you want in your life…….unfortunately, most of us spend time focusing on what we don’t want. So how do we get started?  Here are some steps to take:

  1. Clean out your closets, basements, attics, garages, refrigerators and throw out what you don’t need or use.
  2. Connect with nature. Work outside cleaning up or taking a walk and observe nature in action. It is coming to life after winter. How can you come into a new life?
  3. Make a list of your “Top 3 Dreams” – get creative and take steps towards making these dreams come true.
  4. Let go of past mistakes and past hurts. Carrying this emotional baggage only holds you back from living a fulfilling life.
  5. Forgive yourself and then forgive others.
  6. Dare to think and feel in different ways…..Be Bold!
  7. Be courageous to truly know thyself and heal what is holding you back.
  8. Spring into action and develop a ‘KNOWING’ not a ‘HOPING’ that your deepest wishes can come true.

The days ahead are brighter, in more ways than one…..so, too, is our future if we plant the seeds now for this exciting personal transformation!

Manifesting Money

It’s easy in today’s economy to get swept up in the tidal wave of mass belief of lack.  People losing jobs and their homes sends aftershocks into the vibrational field of energy that surrounds us.  This fear spreads like a virus among all of us.  Beliefs have a strong impact on creating our reality.  Yes, you create your own reality.  The moment you decide to be self responsible, everything in your life will change. Thoughts are energy and so is money.  A dear friend of mine Dr. Bhutti, a Tibetan physician, once said to my husband, “All this stress over a piece of paper.”

It is easy to feel rich when the money is flowing in, but how about when it isn’t?  During tough financial days you must stay firm in the belief that the universe is a prosperous place, willing to support and bless your dreams and desires.  Step away from negative tribal beliefs and create positive thoughts around prosperity in your life.

  1. Act as if what you want is already here.
  2. Rich is a state of consciousness that can be developed.
  3. Be grateful for what you do have.
  4. Dream big and dare to be bold.
  5. Be clear about what you want.
  6. Focus on the solution not the problem.
  7. Clear out any negative thoughts and beliefs around money. (Such as money is the root of all evil.)
  8. Allow your good to come to you easily.
  9. Never give up on a dream. If you’re not getting immediate results on a desire, focus and hold the vision until it happens.
  10.  No matter what the economy is like there have always been people who make money. Choose to be one of these people.

Remember you cannot create something if you are unable to picture yourself having it.  Rid yourself of fear and doubt. There is enough for all of us…..”Ask and you shall receive.”
