Face your fears head on….
As we walk through our life journey, most of us are filled with anxiety and stress; ourthoughts are loaded with fear.We mask our pain by pretending to be positive when underneath the facade is intense emotional pain. Inside of most of us is a small child who developed misperceptions and distortions about life based on fear.
You must face your fears head on and with an open heart, if you want to be truly empowered. It is an easier process if you face fears consciously, rather than have your unconscious mind create a difficult situation for you to experience suppressed emotions. Here are some suggestions.
- Take total responsibility for your healing transformation.
- Sit in a meditative state and then bring in something you fear the most. Create a negative fantasy of this fear and then resolve it.
- Be an observer of yourself….when you find yourself experiencing emotional pain, find the truth inside of you that you have been resisting. Dig it out to the open.
- Take a look at your own dark side honestly without judgment. We are all both darkness and light and pretending that darkness is outside of you will only bring in unwanted problems because of these suppressed feelings.
- Teach yourself how to live life without fear.
Release your fears today!Confront them and you will start to experience a freedom, peace and joy that you never thought was possible. Make your healing process the number one priority in your life. As you heal, this passes on to family and friends and ultimately the whole planet.
“ the only thing to fear is fear itself”Franklin Roosevelt

Looking for Love
We have online dating services, social media, and other ways of connecting to a potential partner, but many people still feel lost and lonely. Why does one feel so alone in the world?People come to see me with a variety of personal issues that are troubling them and one is them is the search for their “BELOVED.”Some people are divorced and others remain single, longer than they ever expected.I often joke with them that the married ones wish that they were single again. They are treading on the walk of FEAR & not the path of LOVE. The human mind is filled with concepts, beliefs, and distortions about love.
Most of us think we are capable of loving, but because of past negative experiences, this capability is not firing on all cylinders.People’s ego, pride and fear that they could be rejected, locks the door to this possibility. Love me first and then I’ll see if I’ll love you back is the voice of fear within. So how do we breakthrough this and attract genuine, healthy love?
- Never try to force yourself to love.
- Do a thorough self examination of yourself truthfully.
- Find where your vanity, ego and pride rule your relationships.
- Fall in love with yourself first and not in a narcissistic manner.
- Be willing to give love freely without any expectations.
- Connect inwardly and lovingly to the Divine and discover harmony within.
- Stop wallowing in self pity and extend yourself to love or help someone.
- Change your attitude towards your pain.
- Stop looking for love…love is found inside.
- Be willing to risk heart break!
Surrender all your false insecurities and fall truly in love. Real love isn’t selfish. Let go of the need to control and allow the natural feelings of love, kindness and generosity to generate a magical relationship.Love comes from a place deep in the heart….not your mind. Trust your heart to know love and give love. Your homework assignment is to take the take the next 10 days and work on a single item above from my recommendations for the entire day; be conscious of it throughout the day and write down your feelings in a journal. You are on your way to attracting genuine, healthy love……….it’s that simple & you deserve it.
True love always creates happiness!!!!

Why do we Crave?…..
Why did I eat that box of chocolates, drink too much or overeat again?
Craving comes in many disguises. Most of us associate this craving with food, alcohol, shopping, drugs or sex, but it is present in many other areas of our life if we just take the time to place a magnifying glass on an area of our life and really see. Food, shopping, gambling, money, working, exercising, abusive relationships, illness and even spirituality can become extreme.Did you ever have a moment when you ate a pint of ice cream or drank a whole bottle of wine and the gratification lasted only seconds? You vow to yourself to never do this again. Next what happens is that the craving starts tip toeing in from behind us and tapping us on the shoulder wanting some MORE.
Our sense of self is through some form of gratification which ultimately leaves us unsatisfied and the feelings of “Not Enough.” Now you’re trapped into a vicious self loathing and waiting for the day that you are fixed and no longer need a fix.How do we get off this treadmill? Here are some suggestions:
1.Stop compulsive thinking.
2.Accept who you are now.
3.Stop identifying yourself with things.
4.Use a crisis or challenge as an opportunity for growth.
5.Everything that you have experienced has benefited you.
6.Forgive yourself for things you have done.
7.Supply your consciousness with new and positive information.
8.Stop waiting and live in the NOW.
9.You can do it!
Excessive craving arises from pain. Look at your own pain in whatever form it shows itself and feel it. Let go of your attachment to pain. Love it free! Dissolve everything from the past and create a still space.
“He who has once known contentment, that comes simply through being content, will never again be otherwise than contented.”
- Tao Te Ching

Let my Love open the Door
Peter Townsend’s song” Let my love open the Door” is on my top 10 of favorite songs. It’s a reminder to all of us how shining love opens up our heart.Love is a state of BEING.It is not something that we can ever lose nor can anyone take it away. The more we feel this inner love, the less we become dependent on others, circumstances and situations to fill us up.
We can start to choose to cultivate love through grace, beauty, wisdom, non -judgment and acceptance. The ego always craves more, but the heart gives more. All that love that you’re looking for, will open the door to yourself by just BEING you and knowing that is enough. The sun doesn’t choose to illuminate upon one person …… it shines on all of us.
The past is over and look back with gratitude for all that you’ve experienced in 2010. If there are things you are resolving to change as we approach 2011, go beyond the mind and the ego and allow your life to flow. Create an opportunity for new doorways of higher consciousness to open up inside of you. These doorways can bring you to new places and experiences. Walk through the door with shoes of love.
Happy New Year!

It’s a wonderful world!
Thanksgiving is just days away and it’s a wonderful American tradition that started right here in Massachusetts with the Pilgrims and Native Americans. Sometimes when things are difficult, we forget how much we already have. Years ago I worked with an incredible man that had developed Lou Gehrig’s disease (ALS) at the early age of forty one. Every week I would make a house call to support his wife and himself through this horrific ordeal. I thought I was there to help him, but it turned out to be quite the opposite……he was helping me. I watched him struggle to speak and eat. He loved his cup of coffee but struggled to sip it through a straw. He was incredibly brave and his wife so stoic, as she raised three young children and continued to do everything in her power to have her husband heal.
Find gratitude in the simplest things that you take for granted everyday. You can walk, talk, speak and hold your own coffee mug. You can hug those that you love. Enjoy the tiniest things in life, as it is truly a miracle to be here on earth. If life has you down right now because of some circumstances, take in a deep breath and exhale fully. Ancient mystics always used breathing techniques as a tool to higher consciousness. We all have the ability to choose how we deal with & perceive an experience. Be grateful for everything that you have drawn towards you……even if it is painful. The ability to feel is a gift.
George Weiss and Bob Thiele wrote in their classic song ” I see skies of blue and clouds of white, bright blessed days, dark sacred nights and I think to myself, what a wonderful world.” Take a moment & enjoy the famous Louie Armstrong. Happy Thanksgiving!!

Healthy is wealthy!
Do you know that over forty million Americans are on anti-depressants and another 80 million are unable to sleep at night? America the beautiful has become a place of sad and depressed people, who feel that the only solution is a pill. Medication certainly does have its place, but when something doesn’t go our way in our daily life we resort, far too often, to a pill, food or alcohol to numb the negative feelings.
Einstein stated that “we can’t solve problems by using the same kind of thinking we used when we created them.” If something is troubling us whether it’s a health, mental or emotional issue, we have to be willing to make a change within ourselves. If you don’t make an inner change it will never materialize in your daily reality. If we want radiant health, we must choose to make that a priority and change the attitude that taking a pill, eating or drinking to excess or going to the doctor is the answer.
Here are some steps to begin the process of achieving optimum health:
- Improve your diet, nutrition and learn how to detoxify the body.
- Learn to forgive others and be more tolerant when they don’t live up to your expectations.
- Overcome lingering health issues by breaking the habitual pattern. Feelings such as blame, bitterness, hate, anger, fear, self-pity, resentment and depression decrease the vital life force flowing through our bodies. All illnesses are based on unresolved emotional issues.
- Cleanse yourself of all negative emotions and detrimental patterns. Love and embrace those aspects of yourself….that is how we let them go by ‘Loving them away.’
- Stop waiting for everything in your life to be perfect – happiness will always elude you. Life is never perfect, but perfect for our soul growth if we pay attention with awareness and take the time to search within ourselves to make a positive shift.
- Be responsible for all things that happen to you (that’s a tough one to accept, but true)…..remember, there is something positive in everything that happens to us!
- Be happy…it’s all how we deal with things and not the event or circumstance that has happiness or unhappiness attached to it.
As the Nike logo states……….JUST DO IT!
